Chicken Little: The Unlikely Herald of Solar Wonders

In a world where the sky is a canvas for the sun’s magnetic brush, a small character from our childhoods has resurfaced to remind us of the wonders above and the importance of heeding warnings, no matter how small the messenger. Chicken Little, the fabled fowl who once mistook an acorn for a piece of the sky, is making headlines again, but this time, as an unlikely herald of celestial phenomena.

Recent geomagnetic storms and solar flares have painted the skies with auroras, usually seen near the poles, now visible in more southern regions. These dazzling displays of colorful lights are not just a treat for the eyes; they’re a reminder of the powerful forces beyond our planet. As Chicken Little once sparked a conversation about the sky falling, today, he stirs attention to the sky’s splendor.

The character of Chicken Little, voiced by Zach Braff in the 2005 Disney animated feature film, represents the little guy whose voice is often overlooked. In the original tale, his warning is dismissed, and chaos ensues. Similarly, the recent solar events have been a wake-up call for many, highlighting the need for awareness and preparedness in the face of natural phenomena.

Chicken Little’s story teaches us that sometimes, the smallest voices carry the most significant truths. As we marvel at the auroras, let’s not forget the lessons from our feathered friend. The sky may not be falling, but it certainly is speaking, and it behooves us all to listen.

So, let’s look up, not in fear, but in awe, as Chicken Little would have wanted. After all, sometimes it takes a little chicken to show us the vastness of the universe and the beauty of our home planet, Earth.

Chad grew up in a that family owned hotels, restaurants, a bar, and a catering venue. Some of his earliest memories were prying bottle caps out of floor mats on Saturday mornings. My mother, is the daughter or an immigrant Italian and Liquor Salesman. It was not uncommon, as a child, for the beautifully fragrant aroma of garlic to fill up the house in their marathon like daily cooking events. It was the merger of this influence that led to my love of food and the joy the Hospitality industry could bring to people. In my 20's I managed Fine Dining to Fast Casual Restaurants, nightclubs, sports bars, and Healthcare Dining while obtaining a comprehensive Hospitality centered education. At 30, I hung up the proverbial chef's hat. Having been in the first main stream generation raised with computer technology, I was fascinated by the role this was evolving to play in hospitality. Early adoptors of inventory, POS, reservation, and nutritional software had paved my youth, so it was a natural transition to move to rebranding myself. For the last 14 years I have been Selling, Implementing, Project Managing, and Strategic Planning, Point of Sale, Nutrition, Digital Display, and Reservation Technology. For the last 5 years I have been focusing on Hospitality technology in the Senior Living Space. There is an inherent passion here, because those parents that instilled my love of food service, will be that new baby boomer generation relying on technological innovation. They deserve the most dignified solutions I can create. Reach out to network with me.
